New Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport 2027: what the configurator offers
The 2027 Chevrolet Corvette lineup is generating plenty of excitement, but the main event is the long-awaited return of the Grand Sport model. It slots between the Stingray and the Grand Sport X, which replaces the former E-Ray. The standard Grand Sport has every chance of becoming the most popular C8 version and also opens the door to options unavailable for the Stingray.
The Chevrolet online configurator was recently updated, adding the new Grand Sport, although the updated 2027 Stingray and Grand Sport X are not yet available. Examining the tool reveals that the standard Grand Sport offers a vast selection of options, allowing you to create a car almost identical to the Z06, which is undoubtedly a major advantage.
Key features and options
The flagship color for the Grand Sport is Admiral Blue Metallic. A hypothetical ideal build includes the 3LT package, a transparent roof panel, and 10-spoke forged aluminum wheels in Pearl Nickel, though the five-spoke carbon wheels also look appealing.
The Grand Sport can be equipped with the same Carbon Flash carbon fiber aero package as the Z06, including a new splitter, canards, and a high rear wing. This aero kit can be combined with the T52 Track Performance Package or the Z52 Sport Performance Package.
For the full Z06 effect, it is worth choosing the track package, as it includes central exhaust tips in Z06 style, while the standard Grand Sport retains the same exhaust systems as the Stingray. Central exhaust can also be added as an option to the sport package.
Among other important options are the signature Grand Sport badges, which for the C8 generation have moved from the front fenders to the rear. They are offered in carbon fiber finish, as well as red, black-silver, and yellow colors.
Price and availability
Chevrolet has not yet released prices for individual Corvette Grand Sport options, so interested buyers will have to wait or contact local dealers. It is known that the base price for the Grand Sport starts at $88,495 USD.
Thus, the new Grand Sport offers an impressive set of options that allow it to approach the flagship Z06 while maintaining a more accessible price. This makes it an attractive choice for those who want maximum performance and style without overpaying for the top-tier version. The lack of option prices still leaves some intrigue, but it is already clear that the Grand Sport will be one of the most interesting cars in the Corvette lineup.
