Announcement of a More Powerful Dodge Charger Sixpack
Dodge has shown a short video of a more powerful Charger Sixpack ahead of its debut on August 7. The official unveiling will take place during the Roadkill Nights event, and we will be present there.
The manufacturer is not revealing details but has released a video depicting a “Christmas tree” (drag racing starting light) covered with bees. The clip ends with the phrase “you know what it is,” followed by black and yellow colors repeated several times.
We are likely looking at a new Charger Super Bee. The model debuted in 1968 and last appeared in 2023 as a special Last Call edition.
Technical Specifications of the New Super Bee
Although Dodge remains silent for now, it is known that the car will feature a 3.0-liter inline-six Hurricane engine with twin turbocharging, producing over 550 hp (410 kW / 558 hp) and 531 lb-ft (719 Nm) of torque. The version is expected to have around 600 hp (447 kW / 608 hp), allowing it to accelerate to 60 mph (96 km/h) in less than 3.9 seconds. The car will also be able to cover a quarter mile in under 12 seconds.

Celebrating 60 Years of Charger
The new Super Bee will be introduced as part of the celebration of the Charger model’s 60th anniversary. In addition to Roadkill Nights, events are planned at the Woodward Dream Cruise (August 15) and the Dodge NHRA Great Lakes Nationals (mid-September).
Dodge CEO Matt McAlear stated: “Every year Roadkill Nights gives us the opportunity to turn up the volume on Woodward Avenue with something bigger, louder, and faster, and this year Dodge is raising the bar even higher. We are going to introduce the most powerful Charger with a Sixpack engine that we have ever built, and then spend the next day side by side with enthusiasts who live and breathe Dodge performance.”
Other Brands at the Event
In addition to Dodge, Ram and Chrysler will also participate in the event. NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck drivers will be present at Roadkill Nights, and the minivan brand will showcase two modified Pacifica models.
It is worth noting that the company mentioned “new product announcements,” so additional surprises are possible.
2023 Dodge Charger Super Bee
This announcement confirms Dodge’s intentions to continue the Charger lineup, using inline-six engines instead of traditional V8s. Despite the change in powertrain, the brand retains its signature aggressive styling and leverages the celebration of history, engaging fans at iconic events like the Woodward Dream Cruise. The expected performance figures (acceleration to 60 mph in under 4 seconds) place the new model on par with previous top V8 versions, which may attract both classic fans and new buyers.
