In Turin, the Grande Panda 4×4 concept was unveiled—a car that attempts to blend nostalgia for the good old Panda with new eco-friendly trends. In short, it’s the same “goes anywhere and doesn’t ask for much” philosophy, only now with an electrified rear axle and a burgundy color.
The first Panda 4×4 appeared in 1983 and managed to win the hearts of those seeking something compact, simple, and capable. The Grande Panda 4×4 tries to recreate that same spirit but in a world where a car without a USB port or the word “hybrid” won’t be considered normal.

The concept is built on the same platform as the Citroën C3, but the main thing here is the all-wheel drive, albeit hybrid. The front wheels are powered by a conventional ICE, while the rear ones are driven by an electric motor. What does this offer? Potentially—confidence off-road. As for how well this electric setup will handle Ukrainian winters and rural mud—only time will tell (if it goes into production, of course).

The design is fully on-trend: painted in a noble burgundy, with beige inserts and additional roof lighting, as if ready to take you to the Carpathians for snow or to the countryside during spring thaw. However, it’s still unclear whether this concept will make it to mass production. But the idea is interesting.
For Ukraine, this could be a potential hit: it has ground clearance, all-wheel drive, reasonable dimensions, and a fun design—all that’s left is to find out the price.
