Initially, TruCam laser radars will be used in the most accident-prone sections of roads in Kyiv and 13 regions of Ukraine. The complete list of patrol locations has already been published by the Patrol Police of Ukraine.

Traffic violations (primarily speeding) will be recorded by police in cars with flashing lights, and the presence of road signs indicating speed control is mandatory.

TruCam radars are equipped with GPS receivers and can record violations with spatial and temporal reference. They can operate for up to 15 hours in a fully autonomous mode.

All data is protected through encryption, and the memory card is sealed. Additionally, the monitoring service of the Patrol Police Department will control the number of recorded violations and issued protocols.

Fines for speeding in Ukraine have not changed, as the Verkhovna Rada has not yet voted for their increase. If you exceed the speed by 20 km/h, you will have to pay 255 hryvnias, and if by 50 km/h, 510 hryvnias.
