G-Power transforms the BMW M5 into a true monster with almost 1000 hp.
Regardless of your opinion on the current generation of the M5, BMW deserves praise for not downsizing the engine or abandoning the V8. In its standard version, the car produces 717 hp and 1000 Nm of torque. Now, the tuning atelier G-Power has taken on this model and significantly increased its power.
Technical changes and performance
G-Power’s new development, named the G5M Bi-Turbo, features updated downpipes with 200-cell sport catalytic converters and a new exhaust system. The engine’s intercoolers have also been upgraded, and a carbon fiber Eventuri intake has been installed.
The renowned tuner also adjusted the super sedan’s software, meaning it now produces 986 hp or 1000 PS. This is just one horsepower less than the original Bugatti Veyron’s 987 hp/1001 PS. Torque also reaches a monumental 1200 Nm. Interestingly, buyers do not have to order all of the aforementioned powertrain upgrades. For example, the V8 can produce 850 PS (838 hp) with a simple chip tune, 900 PS (888 hp) with a sport muffler installed, and 950 PS (937 hp) with high-flow downpipes.
More power, factory look
There is no data on how fast the M5 has become, but since the base model can accelerate to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, we see no reason why the G5M Bi-Turbo wouldn’t be significantly faster with the full 986 hp package. There is no doubt that G-Power is also working on more significant upgrades, potentially including non-standard turbochargers, which would further increase power.
Cost and availability
The modifications can be purchased separately or as a package for just over 31,000 euros (about $36,300 USD). However, this amount does not include the optional Eventuri carbon fiber intake system for 2,856 euros ($3,350) and the Eventuri carbon fiber turbine intake for 892 euros ($1,045). All upgrades are available for both the sedan and Touring models.

This tuning package from G-Power demonstrates that even a powerful production car like the BMW M5 has significant potential for further improvement. Instead of drastically changing the exterior appearance, the tuners focused on the engineering aspect, squeezing almost 1000 horsepower out of the 4.4-liter V8. This makes the G5M Bi-Turbo not just powerful, but also relatively restrained in appearance, which is the classic “wolf in sheep’s clothing” approach. It is worth noting that the modular upgrade approach allows owners to choose the level of modification according to their budget and needs, ranging from a simple ECU remap to a full package with new intercoolers and an exhaust system. This flexibility makes G-Power’s offering attractive to a wide range of M5 owners seeking even more dynamics without losing daily practicality.
