by It is hard to believe, but electric cars in Ukraine were produced 70 years ago. And they were even released, albeit in very small series. 
Meet the LAZ-750 from 1947, jointly developed by the Lviv Bus Factory and the NAMI institute. Only 20 of these minibusses were assembled, and for some time they even delivered mail in Leningrad. 
The Ukrainian electric car had a carrying capacity of 500 kg, and a 4-horsepower electric motor accelerated it to 30 km/h.
The lead batteries allowed it to travel 50-60 km without recharging. 
Later, a more advanced LAZ-NAMI-751 with an 8-horsepower motor appeared. It could carry one and a half tons of cargo and reached 35 km/h, and its range increased to 60-70 km. 
Since the body structures used wood, the LAZ electric cars were not very durable. None of them have survived to this day.
