Karma Revero Ceases to Exist, Yet Fisker’s Legacy Lives On

The End of Karma Revero Production

Karma Automotive has officially ended production of the Revero model, which remained on the market for eight years. The last car of this series has already rolled off the assembly line, but its design and concept will be given new life in the next model — the Gyesera.

The Model’s History and Its Successor

The beginning of this story can be traced back to 2011, when the Fisker Karma debuted — an unusual sports sedan with an electric-hybrid powertrain that was ahead of its time. After Fisker’s bankruptcy, the company’s assets were purchased by the Chinese Wanxiang Group, which allowed the car to be revived under the Karma Automotive brand in 2016 as the Revero.

Over the years, the model was updated, with GT, GS-6, and Invictus versions appearing. The final Revero had a combined output of 536 hp and a range of up to 360 miles thanks to its hybrid setup. The company emphasized that the model’s legacy does not end but continues in the new car.

A New Era Called Gyesera

The successor to the Revero will be the Gyesera, which will retain the aluminum platform and hybrid scheme of its predecessor but will receive an updated body made of carbon fiber and aluminum. The stated specifications show a slight increase in power to 558 hp, while torque has decreased slightly. The range and battery capacity currently remain at the level of the previous model.

Company Plans and Future Models

Karma is already accepting $5,000 deposits for the Gyesera, although the exact start date for deliveries has not yet been announced. In addition to this sedan, the company is preparing the two-door Amaris for production, as well as production versions of the Kaveya supercoupe and the Ivara crossover, whose concepts were presented earlier.

The end of Revero production symbolizes the conclusion of a certain era for the brand, which has come a long way from the bold Fisker startup to its revival under the wing of a major investor. The preservation of the original platform and technology in the new model indicates the company’s trust in the time-tested architecture, even despite the rapid development of competing technologies in the world of electric vehicles. The success of the Gyesera and the announced models will now depend not only on technical specifications but also on Karma’s ability to fulfill its commitments to customers on time in a dynamic market.
