No, today is not April 1st – Ford Sierra will indeed be revived. The project is being undertaken by CNC Motorsport AWS and racer Andy Rouse. Of course, it will not be just any Sierra, but the famous hot hatch RS500 from Cosworth.
On the outside, the modern Ford Sierra 2022 looks no different from its ancestor, but its innards will be slightly modernized. The power of the 2.0-liter turbo engine will be increased from 225 to 575 hp, equipped with a new 5-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
Only three modern Ford Sierra RS500s will be produced, and all of them will be painted white – like the racing Fords of the ’80s. It should be noted that such novelties are not uncommon for the British, as similar ventures are also undertaken by Aston Martin, Bentley, and Jaguar.
