Mansory takes money from Bentley owners for this service, now Bentley does it on its own

Bentley Mulliner introduces exclusive design for Supersports

The Bentley Supersports is the most extreme version of the Continental GT, built on a non-electrified twin-turbo V8 that delivers power exclusively to the rear axle. The car features a sharper chassis and a limited production run of just 500 units. For those seeking even greater uniqueness, the Mulliner division has introduced a new “Design Theme” with asymmetric paintwork reminiscent of the Mansory style.

Instead of the usual two-tone approach, which divides the car horizontally or adds stripes, the special program uses a gradient across the entire width of the body. The example shows the left side has a dark shade of Black Crystal, which smoothly transitions into a bright Dragon Red on the right side.

The special Supersports also features an off-center red stripe running from front to back, aligned with the passenger seat and compensating for the gradient on the driver’s side. Additional exterior accents include a red ‘8’ on the radiator grille and red pinstripes on the carbon fiber aerodynamic elements.

Asymmetry inside the cabin

The asymmetry continues in the two-seat cabin, which resembles a Fiat 500 RED Edition. The driver’s seat is trimmed in Hotspur red leather, while the passenger seat receives a more restrained Beluga black color. The interior features full leather upholstery with a special Supersports pattern on the doors and seats.

In addition to the showcased Dragon theme, Bentley Mulliner offers two more configurations. The Electric theme combines Electric Blue and Dark Sapphire on the outside with Klein Blu and Imperial Blue inside. The more subdued Brodgar theme pairs Pale Brodgar and Brodgar bodywork with a Camel and Beluga interior.

Buyers wanting something else can go further, as the company invites potential clients to contact Bentley dealers regarding alternative or bespoke trim options.

Asymmetric interior too

The powertrain remains unchanged: the non-electrified twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 produces 657 hp (490 kW / 666 PS) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque. The engine is paired with an updated eight-speed dual-clutch automated gearbox sending power to the rear wheels. The Supersports weighs 4,407 lbs (1,999 kg), making it the lightest road-going Bentley in 85 years.

The Bentley Mulliner Supersports Design Theme will make its public debut at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. The company has not disclosed the cost of the optional trim, which will likely represent a significant premium over the standard Supersports, which starts at over $486,000.

This approach to customization demonstrates how Bentley is trying to meet the demand for uniqueness among its wealthiest clients, offering solutions that were previously the domain of tuning ateliers like Mansory. Asymmetric design, while bold, could become a new trend in the world of hyper-luxury cars, where individuality is valued above all else. It is worth noting that the technical component remains unchanged, making this version primarily a visual and status product rather than a technical improvement.
