The most powerful production car with a V12 engine accelerates to 300 km/h faster than most cars reach 100 km/h

Danish hypercar prepares for its debut at Goodwood

The world of hypercars is full of ambitious promises, but very few projects survive the difficult journey from concept presentation to customer delivery. Zenvo claims that its Aurora model is now entering one of the most important phases of this process, preparing to showcase pre-production validation prototypes at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed.

More importantly, these hypercars are meant to represent what customers will receive when deliveries begin next year. Suffice it to say, the menu includes an enormous amount of horsepower.

The Danish automaker will bring two Aurora Tur validation prototypes and one Aurora Agil show car to Goodwood after completing final preparations at its factory in Præstø, Denmark. This appearance marks a significant milestone for the program, which was first shown dynamically at the same event in 2025, and is part of Zenvo’s stated plan to begin customer deliveries in the second half of 2027.

The most powerful production V12 in history

At the heart of the Aurora lies what Zenvo calls the most powerful V12 ever fitted to a road car. Developed jointly with Mahle Powertrain, its own 6.6-liter engine with four turbochargers produces 1,250 hp (932 kW) and 885 lb-ft (1,200 Nm) of torque, revving to 9,800 rpm. Three electric motors add another 600 hp (447 kW), bringing total system output to a staggering 1,850 hp (1,380 kW) and 1,254 lb-ft (1,700 Nm) of torque.

These figures translate into equally impressive claimed performance. Zenvo estimates a 0-100 km/h time of 2.3 seconds, 0-300 km/h in nine seconds, and 0-400 km/h in 17 seconds. By comparison, the Aurora reaches 300 km/h in roughly the same time it takes many ordinary cars to accelerate to just 100 km/h.

Top speed is estimated at 420 km/h. Despite the hybrid equipment and all-wheel drive system, the claimed dry weight of the Aurora Tur is only 1,548 kg.

Two versions, fifty cars

The most powerful production V12

Zenvo plans to offer the Aurora in two forms. The Agil version is aimed at track-day enthusiasts with a lighter and more aggressive setup, while the Tur focuses on grand touring duties without sacrificing absolute performance. Both versions share a common carbon-composite architecture and the V12 hybrid powertrain concept.

Only 50 examples of the Aurora will be built, making exclusivity almost as extreme as the performance. The real test, however, is not the specifications. It is whether Zenvo can successfully transition from impressive prototypes to production cars for customers, and Goodwood will provide the clearest look at how close the company actually is to achieving that goal.

Despite the impressive specifications, the key question remains the ability of a small manufacturer to establish series production of such a complex machine. History knows many examples where high-profile hypercars never reached their owners, so the demonstration of running prototypes at Goodwood is not just a show, but a critical step to confirm the project’s viability. Zenvo’s success will depend not only on engine power but also on the reliability and build quality that customers expect when they pay a fortune for the car.
