New 2027 Chevrolet Bolt: What’s Known
Photographers have captured the new 2027 Chevrolet Bolt without camouflage, even though the official presentation is only scheduled for the end of this year. The car, which disappeared from the market for some time, turned out to be not entirely new—it is essentially an updated version of the Bolt EUV.
The model is easily recognizable from the outside, but it has received an updated front end with an X-shaped accent and a new honeycomb-style radiator grille. The headlights have also changed, and the hood has become less massive. The rear has received fresh taillights and a more stylish bumper.
Chevrolet confirmed that the 2027 Bolt will have an NACS charging port and “some other interesting features.”
Technical Features
The car will be built on the BEV2 platform and equipped with lithium-iron-phosphate batteries from CATL. In 2023, the Bolt EUV had a 65 kWh battery that provided a range of up to 247 miles (398 km). The new version is expected to remain the most affordable electric car in the Chevrolet lineup.
The previous version of the Bolt ceased production in December 2023, but now the model is returning with updates. The manufacturer promises that the cost of the new product will be lower than the brand’s current electric models.
Full technical specifications will become known closer to the premiere, but it is already clear that the 2027 Bolt is not a revolution, but an evolution of the previous model. The manufacturer is betting on affordability and compatibility with modern charging infrastructure, which could make it an interesting option for city dwellers.
