New Porsche 911 Model Created for Race Tracks

Porsche Prepares a New Racing Version of the 911 GT3 Cup

Porsche is actively working on updating the 911 GT3 Cup race car, which is set to debut in the summer. The new version has received improved aerodynamics, an updated powertrain, and a number of technical enhancements. The car will be approved for competition in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup series starting in 2026.

Development of the model began in early 2024. Among the key changes are a redesigned front bumper with a new trapezoidal air intake, an updated spoiler, and a modified rear-end design. The interior features a sports steering wheel, a digital instrument panel, and a safety cage.

We are already working at a very high level with the current version of the 911 GT3 Cup. This has allowed us to focus on customer feedback and create a car that surpasses its predecessor in many aspects.

Technical details are still limited, but it is known that the model is equipped with a 4.0-liter six-cylinder engine producing 503 hp (510 PS) and a six-speed sequential gearbox. Porsche has already conducted testing on the tracks in Monza and Lausitzring, using the eco-fuel eFuel.

In total, the company has produced over 5,381 Cup series race cars, making them some of the most mass-produced in the world. Full information about the new model is expected to be released very soon.

The updates to the 911 GT3 Cup demonstrate that Porsche continues to invest in racing technologies, adapting them to modern safety and environmental requirements. The use of eFuel in testing underscores the brand’s commitment to sustainable development in motorsport.
