by The first images of the new Niva have appeared online. The next-generation crossover is promised to begin production in 2020 or 2021. 
Patent images look painfully familiar. The fact is, the new Niva is not much different from the Lada 4×4 Vision concept car. The vehicle features non-standard extended fenders, a high hood, and an X-shaped front design, similar to the Lada Vesta and X-Ray.
The swing-out doors in the style of the Toyota FJ Cruiser are also retained. 
According to unconfirmed information, the new Niva will be built on the modern Renault-Nissan CMF-B platform. This is used by the new Renault Clio, and in the future, the Nissan Juke and Renault Captur will be built on it. However, it is possible that an older platform from the Duster may also be used.
