New Ford Equipment Turns Super Duty into a Moving Symbol of America

New “Proud to Honor” Package for Ford Super Duty

On the eve of US Independence Day, Ford announced the launch of a new “Proud to Honor” option package for the 2027 Super Duty pickup truck. This package is designed to turn the vehicle into a “moving monument” to America.

Developed by the Ford Custom Garage division, the package includes a large graphic of the American flag, which starts on the front doors and stretches to the middle of the body. This is a vivid embodiment of the stars and stripes, especially symbolic in the year of the 250th anniversary of the USA.

Package details:

Limitations and Availability

Although the graphics look quite impressive, they are offered exclusively with a black body color to “ensure the full visual effect.” This somewhat limits the choice, but Ford adds darkened exterior accents and 19.5-inch forged aluminum wheels with a black finish.

The package will be available for XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum trims, as well as for models with single and dual rear wheels. Ford is already accepting orders for 2027 F-250 models with the Honor package, while the F-350 and F-450 will become available later this summer.

Installation and Warranty

Interestingly, Ford hinted at the possibility of installing the package after vehicle assembly. As the manufacturer notes, it can be added either at the factory or “at a certified Ford dealer.” The automaker also reported that the package has an additional warranty of 3 years or 36,000 miles, which should ensure the graphics look great for years to come.

Charitable Component

Although the package is nothing more than a large sticker, part of the proceeds from its sale will be donated to the Blue Star Families organization and Ford’s own Proud to Honor program. The former is “dedicated to strengthening military families by connecting them with neighbors to create vibrant communities of mutual support.”

Other 2027 Super Duty New Features

In addition to the Honor package, the 2027 Super Duty also offers a new Carhartt version. Furthermore, the automaker has expanded the availability of the Tremor package and the Platinum trim.

This move by Ford is part of a broader trend among American automakers, who are increasingly using patriotic symbolism in their products, especially in the heavy pickup truck segment. Given that 2026 is the 250th anniversary of the USA, similar themed packages could become popular among buyers who want to emphasize their national pride. However, the limitation to only black body color may somewhat narrow the pool of potential customers who prefer other colors. Nevertheless, the charitable component of the package adds social weight to it, which could be an additional incentive for purchase.
