All-new Dodge Charger 2024 presented in electric and gasoline versions

In the USA, the new eighth-generation Dodge Charger debuted. The iconic American model has changed drastically and will be available in both gasoline and electric versions. Production of the sports car will start in the summer. This was reported by Focus.

Design Dodge Charger 2024:

The new Dodge Charger 2024 will be available not only as a sedan but also as a Daytona coupe. The two-door version will replace the Dodge Challenger and will hit the market earlier, while the four-door variant is expected to debut in early 2025.

Dodge Charger 2024 has changed compared to its predecessor but retains a familiar look. Its elongated aerodynamic design is inspired by the legendary Dodge Charger from 1968. A long hood, narrow headlights, and full-width taillights are all features reminiscent of its famous ancestor.

Of course, modern features are also present. The car’s lighting is LED, and there are air intakes in the hood. The base version Dodge Charger R/T features 18-inch wheels, while the top-of-the-line Scat Pack comes with 20-inch wheels.

The sedan and coupe Dodge Charger are built on the new STLA Large platform of the Stellantis concern. The car is significantly larger than its predecessor.

Dimensions of Dodge Charger 2024:
– length — 5248 mm;
– width — 2028 mm;
– height — 1497 mm;
– wheelbase — 3074 mm;
– weight — 2648 kg.

Interior Dodge Charger 2024:

The interior combines classic style with modern elements such as a virtual instrument panel and a 12.3-inch touchscreen. The steering wheel is flattened at the top and bottom, and the joystick for selecting driving modes resembles the gear lever of the classic Dodge Charger from the 60s.

The ambient lighting can change color — there are 64 different shades available. Options include surround-view cameras and a heads-up display.

The front seats are divided by a tall central tunnel. The Dodge Charger interior has become more spacious, and the trunk volume is 643 liters in a regular state and 1056 liters with the rear seats folded. The electric car also has a 42-liter front trunk.

New Dodge Charger, specifications:

The electric Dodge Charger Daytona will be the first to hit the market. Initially, it will be offered in two all-wheel drive dual-motor versions.

The new Dodge Charger R/T produces 456 hp and 545 Nm as standard and 496 hp temporarily in PowerShot mode. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds, covers a quarter-mile (402 m) in 13.1 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 220 km/h.

Dodge Charger Scat Pack features a power unit with 630 hp and 850 Nm, which can reach 670 hp in PowerShot mode. This Dodge electric car can accelerate to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds, cover a quarter-mile in 11.5 seconds, and reach 216 km/h.

Both versions are equipped with a 100.5 kWh battery. The range is 510 km in the Dodge Charger R/T and 418 km in the Scat Pack. Fast charging with a power of 350 kW takes 32 minutes to reach 80%.

Gasoline versions will appear in early 2025 and will not have a V8. Instead, they will offer 3.0-liter turbochargers with 420 and 550 hp, but their specifications are not yet revealed. More powerful electric modifications are also expected.

The electric Dodge Charger will have a special synthesizer that will create the sound of a V8 engine. The sports car will also have several different driving modes, including drift and tire-smoking modes.

All Dodge Charger 2024 models are equipped with a self-locking differential, and the Scat Pack version features enlarged 406 mm Brembo brakes, adaptive dampers, and a built-in dashcam.
