In this case, Suzuki Jimny 2018 is truly an SUV, albeit a small one. Like its predecessor, it retained the off-road appearance and frame structure.

According to the latest data, its price will be at the level of 15-18 thousand dollars, depending on the configuration and engine.
However, to date, this cost is relevant for the domestic market of Japan. 
How much the new Jimny will cost in Europe, and what the price will be in Ukraine, is still anyone’s guess. We think the starting price will not exceed 18 thousand dollars. Depending on its color, it looks either like a brutal baby or a bright tough guy. Therefore, it is impossible to say that it is a male or, on the contrary, a female small jeep. Unisex – no doubt! 
Dimensions
In its dimensions, the new Suzuki Jimny is comparable to such compact hatchbacks as the Peugeot 108, Ravon R2, and Fiat 500. Here are its dimensions: length – 3395 mm, width – 1475 mm, and height — 1725 mm.
These dimensions make it an SUV among kei cars, as ultra-compact cars are called in Japan, which fall under a separate tax-beneficial category. 
But! In Europe, it is likely that a “larger” version will be sold, which is more extensive — 3550, 1645, and 1730 mm respectively. In this case, the increased size does not imply a larger wheelbase or increased interior space. The increase is given by fender extensions and other bumpers.
Interior of the new Jimny
External compactness does not always imply tightness inside. As journalists in Japanese media, who have already been able to test drive the new Suzuki Jimny, write, from the driver’s seat, the car feels large and offers excellent visibility. However, it was the same with the previous generation model. As for the rear row, according to the first reviews by the Japanese, there is not much room to move around, but there is ample space for children and adults not under 2 meters tall. 
Regarding the interior design, everything is without excess, but in the spirit of SUVs and with some zest.
The instruments and the multimedia system are worth noting separately, as they seem to be placed in square boxes. And also look at the buttons on the center console – very off-road and with an old-school style updated for modern times.
Specifications and engines
The technical specifications of the Suzuki Jimny 2018-2019 are not yet known. But there is official information about the engines. On the local market, the Jimny can be bought only with a 0.66-liter turbocharged gasoline engine R06 with a power output of 64 hp (95 Nm).
In Europe, the new Jimny will be available with a naturally aspirated gasoline engine K15B producing 102 hp (130 Nm). Transmission options include a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic.
Four-wheel drive and frame
The frame is something that will definitely attract the attention of avid fishermen, hunters, and just outdoor enthusiasts. Because alternative versions of the Suzuki Jimny 2019 simply do not exist today. The same goes for the “honesty” of the all-wheel drive.
The new Jimny provides a low-range transfer case, but the connectable front axle has given way to permanent all-wheel drive with a lockable center differential. Unlike its predecessor, a stability system and other options are provided, which the owners of the previous generation SUV could only dream of. Ground clearance — 210 mm or 205 mm, depending on the modification.

The Japanese version of the Jimny 2018 is already being produced and is about to go on sale in the domestic market. As for the global version, its appearance is scheduled for the fall of 2018, while the new Jimny will likely go on sale in Europe and other countries in the first half of 2019.
