We have already written about what car saw off Gennady Kernes for the last time. Now we will show you who and in what arrived at the funeral of the Kharkiv mayor. But let’s start with the farewell procession, which included about a dozen and a half cars, mainly Toyota and Lexus SUVs accompanied by police.
Let’s recall, the head of Kharkiv died from complications of coronavirus after 3 months of treatment. For the farewell ceremony with Gennady Kernes, whom many called Hepa during his lifetime, part of the roads in the city were closed, and both well-known officials and businessmen, as well as whole crowds of Kharkiv residents, came to say goodbye to him.
After the funeral, a monument will be erected for the mayor, and a street will be renamed.
The mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko, former MP Yevhen Murayev, Yuriy Boyko, parliamentarian Vadim Novinsky, and Mikhail Dobkin (Kernes’ ally and friend, well-known from a YouTube video where Gennady Kernes criticizes Dobkin by telling him the famous phrase “You have a boring face – no one will give you money”) came to say goodbye to Kernes.
The vast majority of deputies and businessmen who came to pay their respects drove Mercedes (S-class, of course), G-Wagons, as well as Land Cruisers and Lexus LX570. Vitaliy Klitschko arrived in an armored Toyota Sequoia.
The funeral procession included Kernes’ and his family’s cars, easily identifiable by the numbers 0202.
Among the cars with this combination of numbers was a powerful Brabus G-class worth several hundred thousand euros.

Oleksandr Yaroslavsky was also seen at the funeral ceremony, who most probably arrived in a traditional procession of two G-Wagons of the Brabus G800 model (each worth half a million euros).
As for Dobkin (nickname – Dopa), just like Kernes, his entire fleet of cars has the same numeric combinations, in this case – 1488. He arrived at his ally’s funeral in an off-road Lexus. By the way, according to one version (by historian Volodymyr Viatrovych), 88 means either Adolf Hitler or the Nazi greeting, and 14 – the theses of one of the ideologists of neo-Nazism.
In general, as Wikipedia says, 14/88 is a code slogan among white nationalists.
Well, if you add 1+4+8+8 you get 21. And “21” is the card “Blackjack” – the numbers on all cars of Rinat Akhmetov, by the way, also add up to 21. Or 3, if you add 2+1. Anyway, but Dobkin has 1488 on all his cars, even on “Gorbatom”…
We also remind that oligarchs have a new fetish: beautiful numbers are giving way to ordinary state plates, but it’s not as simple as it might seem at first glance. In conclusion, let’s note that Gennady Kernes loved exclusive cars. So, very rare sports cars and handmade models were in his collection. Read more in our post about Kernes’ car fleet.
