The Prime Minister advises Ukrainians to switch to electric vehicles

Amidst the threat of a recurring fuel crisis in Ukraine, the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, has urged Ukrainians to switch to electric transport. He said this in an interview with the publication “Livyi Bereh”.

“We have already faced a fuel crisis after the Russians destroyed our storage facilities, our oil refineries, and even gas stations. Therefore, electric vehicles are a priority, and we are politically sending such a signal and creating an opportunity,” Shmyhal stated.

According to him, along with the return of customs duty on car imports, the government has abolished duties on electric transport.

In other words, according to Shmyhal, “electric vehicles can be imported into Ukraine without restrictions and without any payments, tax payments”.

Let us recall, we recently talked about the budget-friendly Tavria electric car with solar panels and discussed how an Estonian converted an old Zhiguli into a stylish electric car.
