by Since November 25, 218 thousand passenger vehicles have been cleared in Ukraine under preferential excise taxes with a 50% discount. Among them, 140 thousand are used cars on Euro plates. 
Such statistics are cited by the SFS and they note that this number may still increase since some vehicles have their documents submitted before 24:00 on February 22 and are still in the process of customs clearance. The final number will be known on Thursday. The customs clearance of Euro vehicles supplemented the state budget by 13.5 billion hryvnia.
It should be noted that owners of 121.4 thousand cars paid a fine of 8,500 hryvnia for violating transit or temporary import rules. Regions where the most cars on Euro plates were cleared have been named:
– Kyiv City Customs – 24,103 units. – Volyn Customs – 15,443
– Zakarpattia Customs – 12,094
– Lviv Customs – 11,163
– Chernivtsi Customs – 10,652
Of course, the opportunity to clear cars on Euro plates remains until May 23, but the 50% excise discount will no longer be available. However, from May 24, their owners face a fine of up to 170 thousand hryvnia or confiscation of the car. By the way, the total number of Euro vehicles in Ukraine, according to the SFS, is about 640 thousand.
The authorities directly recommend to either export these cars abroad or dismantle them.
