by Hollywood star Tom Hanks has decided to part with his beloved car. His 1980 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 will be sold at Bonhams auction, and the car is quite special. On this occasion, the actor shared details about the SUV.
The thing is, a custom tuning of the Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 was done specifically for Tom Hanks. Now, under its hood is a 4.3-liter V6 Chevrolet engine producing 180 hp. The new 5-speed manual transmission is also manufactured by General Motors.
In addition, the SUV was lifted and its suspension was completely replaced. It also got 31-inch Toyo Open Country off-road tires.
The interior is equipped with Porsche bucket seats with electric adjustment (although the original seats are preserved and sold with the car). Additionally, it features air conditioning and a Sony audio system. Moreover, Tom Hanks left his autograph on the car, especially for the new owner.
By the way, not everyone knows that in Tom Hanks’ car collection there is even a car from Poland. Interestingly, it was given to the actor by his fans.
