The 1996 Ferrari F50 supercar has become the cause of an entire court case in the USA. Moreover, the office of the federal prosecutor (equivalent to our General Prosecutor’s Office) is even involved in the case.
The whole matter is that in 2003, this Ferrari F50 was stolen – just a month after the Italian businessman Paolo Provenzi bought it for 260 thousand euros. The car simply disappeared from the underground parking.

Nothing was heard about the car for more than 15 years until it was seized while crossing the border between Canada and the USA. The Ferrari F50 was confiscated, and for Paolo Provenzi, this came as a surprise. However, quickly obtaining the car didn’t work out.
The thing is, the supercar found an owner – car collector Mohammed Alsalussi. He believes he legally acquired the car for 1.4 million dollars and has all the documents. He did not even suspect that the Ferrari F50 was listed as stolen.
Now, the two F50 owners are in a legal battle. The American prosecutor’s office became interested in the case and arrested the Ferrari supercar until a court decision is made.
As a reminder, only 349 Ferrari F50s were produced. The car is equipped with a 520-horsepower V12 and can accelerate to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 325 km/h.
