Ram and Roush are preparing a joint project: a new pickup will appear this summer
Did you think Ram had finished expanding its model lineup after the arrival of the Rumble Bee family? Not at all. Barely a month has passed since the debut of three new models, as Ram has teased another special series pickup, created in collaboration with the renowned tuning studio Roush.
Roush made a name for itself working with Ford products, often installing superchargers and upgraded exhaust systems to increase power. Now the tuner has signed a contract to work with Ram, and a teaser image of the result has appeared on social media. The accompanying message points to a summer launch for the pickup.

It’s hard to tell exactly what the two companies have in mind based solely on this teaser, but the prevailing opinion is that it could be a modified version of the existing Ram 1500 SRT TRX or, perhaps, the Ram 1500 RHO. Given that the TRX already has a supercharged 6.2-liter V8, and the RHO — a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six, Roush doesn’t need to add forced induction to either of them, but could install other parts, including a new exhaust system.
Will the new model get off-road components?
It’s worth noting that the new Ram model from Roush may be equipped with several off-road upgrades. That was the case with the Nissan Frontier Pro-4X R, modified by Roush and launched last year. The changes to the Nissan pickup included new suspension, original wheels, a titanium skid plate, new badges, red tow hooks, and embroidered headrests, but no engine upgrade.
Whatever is being developed, right now is probably the best time to be a Ram fan. If the SRT TRX wasn’t enough to get excited about, the trio of Rumble Bee road models certainly will be. The flagship version of these models, bearing the Rumble Bee SRT badge, uses a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 producing 777 hp and 680 lb-ft (921 Nm) of torque, allowing it to accelerate to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 170 mph (274 km/h).

Thus, the collaboration between Ram and Roush promises to be another bright event for fans of American pickups. Given Roush’s experience in creating powerful and stylish vehicles, the new model is likely to receive not only visual but also technical enhancements to emphasize its character. This also indicates that Ram continues to actively expand its lineup of special editions to maintain buyer interest in a constantly growing segment. It remains to wait for summer to see what exactly the joint project of the two famous companies will be.
