British company McMurtry has officially launched serial production of the single-seat electric hypercar Spéirling PURE, which previously set a number of records on racing tracks around the world. The manufacturer reported that it has already sold 25 such cars. This is reported by Carscoops.
McMurtry Spéirling PURE gets a production version after setting records

McMurtry has released the final specifications of the production Spéirling PURE. This electric car gained widespread popularity after a record-breaking run at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where it completed the course in 39.08 seconds.
Subsequently, the model became the first car capable of driving upside down, also outperformed a Formula 1 car on the Top Gear test track and beat the Mercedes-AMG One at the Hockenheimring by 14.1 seconds.
The electric car is equipped with a new 100 kWh battery and two electric motors on the rear axle, developing a combined 1000 hp. Acceleration from 0 to 97 km/h takes only 1.55 seconds, and the top speed is 306 km/h.

One of the model’s main features is the proprietary Downforce-on-Demand active downforce system. It uses fans and generates up to 2000 kg of downforce even when the car is stationary, allowing it to achieve up to 3g of lateral force in corners and during braking.
Compared to the prototypes, the production Spéirling PURE has received an enlarged battery, a new carbon monocoque, a more spacious cockpit, improved visibility, integrated lighting, simplified maintenance access, and a storage compartment for the helmet and HANS device under the rear wing. According to the manufacturer, about 95% of the car’s parts were redesigned from scratch.
The price of the McMurtry Spéirling PURE starts from £995,000, which is equivalent to approximately $1.35 million excluding taxes and additional options. The company has already confirmed the sale of 25 production units.
