“Mom, pick me up!” – asks the birthday boy when police confiscate his Ferrari for speeding

Speeding Ferrari leads to serious consequences

In the city of Vaughan, Ontario province, the driver of a Ferrari was detained for speeding. Police recorded that he was traveling at a speed of 130 km/h in a zone where only 70 km/h is permitted. The man tried to explain that he was in a hurry for his own birthday, but this did not save him from punishment.

Under local legislation, exceeding the speed limit by 40 km/h in zones with a limit of up to 80 km/h is automatically classified as “stunt driving.” The driver’s car was confiscated and his license was suspended. He also received a fine of $2000 and 6 demerit points.

“Please, it’s my birthday,” – the driver pleaded. – “I haven’t driven a Ferrari in a long time.”

In a video published by the police, the man is seen calling his parents to pick him up. Law enforcement representatives ironically noted that the driver might have to celebrate his birthday without his car and perhaps even without a traditional cake.

In Ontario, “stunt driving” includes not only speeding but also performing drifts, setting tires on fire, transporting passengers in the trunk, or driving without a driver behind the wheel. This case is a reminder that traffic violations can have serious consequences, regardless of the circumstances. Even a special day like a birthday is not an excuse for dangerous behavior on the road.
