In Russia, the design of the new ‘Moskvich’ models was presented with great pomp. Their images were shown to Moscow’s mayor Sobyanin. No miracle happened: they are all Chinese JACs.
There will be as many as four models. The first will be the JAC JS4 crossover (known to us as the S4). It will be offered with a 1.5-liter 150-horsepower turbo-four and an electric motor of the same power.

The next models are the JAC X6 and X7 crossovers, as well as the JAC Sehol A5 liftback. They are all equipped with 1.5-liter turbo engines with 150-184 horsepower.
It is worth noting that the pre-facelift JAC S4 and Sehol A5 (also known as J7) were once tested by us. TopGir drove the new ‘Moskvich’ even when it wasn’t any ‘Moskvich’.
By the end of the year, they plan to assemble as many as 600 cars. In 2023, however, they want to produce 50 thousand, and in 2024 – 100 thousand. Although under sanctions, this seems like fantasy.
