Lynk & Co 07 GT: The Chinese Brand’s First Wagon
Lynk & Co grabbed attention earlier this year with a Ferrari-inspired concept, but its latest production car for China offers sportiness in a different vein. The 07 GT is a wagon based on the 07 sedan, featuring an aggressive body and a plug-in hybrid powertrain.
Design and Body Features
This is the first wagon built by Lynk & Co, and it closely resembles exclusive renders from late 2024. The 07 GT borrows much from the sedan, including split LED headlights styled like claws. From there, it differs with several redesigned panels and new door handles that comply with the latest regulations.
Notable changes include a redesigned front bumper with larger air intakes, a black roof and pillars, and a rear end that goes its own way. At the back, you’ll find full-width LED taillights vaguely reminiscent of Jaguar, a spoiler above the steeply raked rear window, and a pronounced diffuser.
Sporty Version with Aerodynamic Kit
The company has also published photos of a sporty version with an aerodynamic body kit. Additional elements include a sharper splitter, new side skirts, rear bumper extensions, and a rear wing with yellow “Downforce components” lettering. These are paired with black alloy wheels and yellow brake calipers, with two examples shown in matte gray and Polestar-inspired light blue.
Dimensions and Interior
Chinese documents show that the 07 GT has a length of 4,846 mm, just 3 mm more than the 07 sedan. The wagon retains the same wheelbase of 2,843 mm.
The interior is largely shared with the sedan but adds new practical and technological features. The Eva robot assistant sits atop the 15.4-inch infotainment system and can interact with the driver, similar to Nio’s NOMI. The central armrest integrates a cooling box, alongside a factory dashcam and magnetic mounts for accessories. The smartest detail, however, is the large trunk, accessed via rear seats that fold flat into a level floor.
Specifications and Price
Technical specifications have not yet been revealed, but it is known that the 07 GT will use the EM-P plug-in hybrid powertrain. Unlike the front-wheel-drive layout of the mechanically related sedan, the wagon adds all-wheel drive, combining a turbocharged 1.5-liter engine with two electric motors. A 28.3 kWh battery is expected to provide approximately 200 km of electric range on the CLTC cycle.
Lynk & Co has not yet announced the price for the 07 GT, with its official debut scheduled for later this month. Local media expect it to be slightly more expensive than the 07 sedan, which currently starts at a discounted price of ¥139,800 ($19,300) in China.
Lynk & Co / Weibo
The market launch of Lynk & Co’s first wagon is a logical step for the brand as it seeks to expand its lineup and meet demand for more practical cars. The combination of aggressive design, all-wheel drive, and hybrid technology makes the 07 GT an interesting offering in the Chinese market, where wagons are not as popular as crossovers but still have their audience. Price will likely be a key factor for success, especially given intense competition from other Chinese manufacturers actively offering hybrid models.
