Japanese tuning atelier Damd has presented two new kits for the compact crossover Suzuki XBee. They radically change the car’s appearance, offering two completely different styles.

Two faces of one car

Suzuki XBee has always tried to combine two traits: toughness and appeal. Now, Japanese tuner Damd has split these two directions, creating a separate style kit for each. The Little.D package borrows the rectangular, strict style of the Land Rover Defender, while the Bemore package moves in the opposite direction, towards soft retro charm.

Little.D: Severity in Defender style

The XBee Little.D package follows the example of similar kits for other Japanese models, particularly Jimny and Every, which are also inspired by the iconic British SUV.

The main feature is a more rectangular radiator grille and hood with the Little.D inscription, combined with black trim on the LED headlights. The strict look also includes a redesigned front bumper with plastic cladding, side decals, and darker trim on the rear lights and tailgate. The shown model is equipped with an additional roof rack and sits on beadlock-style alloy wheels fitted with grippy tires.

Bemore: Retro charm

The XBee Bemore takes a different path, relying on the rounded lines of the Suzuki Alto Lapin kei car. It gets a special bumper with a larger air intake, three slots replacing the radiator grille, and a prominent body-colored protrusion. Damd also added vintage side decals with a checkered pattern and matching stickers on the side windows.

Those seeking maximum vintage style can also opt for a roof rack with wooden inserts and chrome wheels. As for the interior, the tuner offers special covers for front and rear seats that look like brown leather with checkered inserts.

Technical details and prices

The Suzuki XBee may look like a kei car, but it is actually larger, with a length of 3,760 mm. Under the hood is the Heartect platform, which also underpins the Swift hatchback and Ignis crossover, among other Suzuki models.

Damd does not offer any performance enhancements for the standard 1.2-liter mild hybrid engine, which produces 81 hp (60 kW / 82 PS) and 109 Nm of torque. Depending on the configuration, power is sent either to the front wheels (2WD) or all four wheels (4WD) via a CVT transmission.

Sales of Damd kits for the Suzuki XBee will begin on July 10. The company is not accepting pre-orders and will ship the packages only to body shops or dealers in Japan.

As for prices, the Little.D sells for ¥299,200 ($1,850), not including installation. The Bemore kit costs ¥154,000 ($950) for the front-end replacement and ¥65,780 ($400) for the decal set. Finally, the seat covers cost ¥66,550 ($410). Buyers who want the full equipment will have to pay extra for alloy wheels, grippy tires, and a roof rack.

Standard Suzuki XBee

Interestingly, Damd offers not just cosmetic changes but two holistic design directions that radically alter the car’s character. The choice between the stern “Defender” and the cute “Alto Lapin” allows XBee owners to personalize their vehicle according to their own taste, without resorting to serious technical modifications. The cost of the kits, while not low, seems quite reasonable for such a level of customization, especially considering they do not require interference with the powertrain. This makes them an attractive option for those who want to stand out from the crowd without losing the reliability and efficiency of the standard car.
