Porsche Prepares a Powerful Electric Version of the Cayenne
Porsche is actively working on creating the most powerful and sportiest version of its electric Cayenne crossover. The new model, likely to be named the Cayenne Coupe Turbo GT Electric, will be based on the coupe version of the electric Cayenne and will become the flagship of the lineup.
The main expected characteristics of the new car include:
Exterior and Design
The new Cayenne Coupe Turbo GT Electric will inherit its design from the regular electric version. The front features the recognizable radiator grille, slim matrix headlights, and an active lower air intake.
However, in profile, the car is distinguished by its raked windshield, which flows smoothly into a steeply sloping roofline. This emphasizes the coupe’s sporty character. Also present are plastic body cladding, five-spoke wheels, and a high-performance braking system with ventilated discs and powerful calipers.
The rear is characterized by an angular rear window and vertical tailgate. A key distinction of the performance version is the presence of a fixed rear spoiler, highlighting its sporting purpose.

Interior and Equipment
Although the prototype’s interior could not be photographed, it is unlikely to differ significantly from the standard electric Cayenne. The cabin is expected to feature a 14.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a curved OLED infotainment system, and an optional 14.9-inch display for the front passenger.
These are expected to be complemented by an augmented reality head-up display, an ambient lighting system, and a heating system that warms not only the seats but also the armrests and door panels.
Electric Power and Performance
The heart of the performance will be the electric powertrain. The regular Cayenne Turbo Electric is equipped with a 113 kWh battery and an all-wheel-drive system with two motors, which produces 844 hp in normal mode. However, when Launch Control mode is activated, power surges to 1139 hp and torque to 1498 Nm.

Such power allows the crossover to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (0-96 km/h) in just 2.4 seconds, with a top speed of 162 mph (261 km/h).
Assuming this is indeed the Coupe Turbo GT prototype, the model should be even faster and more powerful.
This also suggests the car will command a corresponding price. The regular Cayenne Turbo Electric starts at $163,000, while the gasoline-powered Cayenne Turbo GT costs from $214,800. The new electric top version is likely to be even more expensive, positioning itself as a unique product at the intersection of high-performance crossovers and electric supercars.
The emergence of such a model clearly demonstrates Porsche’s strategy of combining environmentally friendly electric propulsion with emotional, racing characteristics. This is not just a powerful family car, but an engineering creation capable of competing with hypercars in terms of dynamics, while retaining the practicality of an SUV. The success of the regular Cayenne Turbo GT on tracks like the Nürburgring gives reason to expect that the electric version may also receive a sporting heart, adapted not only for straight-line acceleration but also for cornering.
