Updated Honda Fit receives a sporty package from Mugen
It hasn’t been a few days since Honda updated the Fit in Japan, as this unusual tall hatchback has appeared in a sportier look thanks to Mugen and the manufacturer itself. Mugen went the furthest by adding a number of real racing parts, although they are unlikely to turn the Fit into a true Type R.
The updates from Mugen are known as the Infinite Parts lineup. They start with a modified front section that includes a sporty red splitter and a darkened radiator grille for versions with the RS badge. Black graphic elements have also appeared on the car’s profile. Rearview mirrors are available with dry carbon fiber trim, which can be combined with wind deflectors on the side windows.

Changes in the rear section and exhaust system
The changes made to the rear help give the practical hatchback a more purposeful look. They include a black diffuser with red trim and a chrome exhaust pipe tip. The new tip is not just for show, as it pairs with a sports muffler that gives the car a more inspiring exhaust note.
Technical improvements: Performance Damper from Yamaha
Mugen also offers a special Performance Damper, developed jointly with Yamaha, for the updated Fit. This upgrade was first introduced on the Civic Type R (FK8), where it was installed under the car’s floor to reduce micro-deformations and vibrations. A special set of 17-inch wheels and new wheel nuts are also available for the Fit.

Interior and additional accessories
Regarding the cabin, Fit owners can purchase a full set of floor mats with Mugen branding, available in black or red. For those who want to make a real statement, a carbon fiber element can be added to the lower part of the door panel, as well as carbon fiber sill plates.
There are plenty of options available directly from Honda. For the Fit RS model, these include yellow fog lights, puddle lights, ambient lighting in the footwell and door panels, as well as metal pedal covers.
Honda Accessories
Changes are also offered for the e:HEV X model, including a discreet rear bumper spoiler, a tailgate spoiler, new fog lights, and 15-inch aluminum wheels. The list of accessories is completed by several options for the lifted Crosstar version, including fog lights, all-season floor mats, roof crossbars, and a large roof box.
Thus, the Honda Fit receives not just a cosmetic update but a real set of performance solutions from Mugen that can significantly improve both the appearance and driving characteristics of the car. Although these changes do not turn the Fit into a full-fledged hot hatch, they make it much more interesting for enthusiasts looking for something more individual and dynamic. Particularly noteworthy is the use of technologies borrowed from the Civic Type R, which indicates a serious approach to improving this model.
