The new Volkswagen Golf 8 is finally entering the Ukrainian market. Prices for the hatchback have been announced, and to be honest, they are slightly shocking.

You can buy a Volkswagen Golf in Ukraine for a price starting from 679 thousand hryvnias. And this is for the version with a 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engine with 110 hp and a 6-speed automatic. This hatch comes on steel rims, but it has LED headlights, rain and light sensors, a parking sensor, cruise control, climate control, and a virtual cockpit.
For comparison, similar money offers:
- Renault Kadjar 1.5 diesel Zen with a robot – 656,700 hryvnias;
- Nissan Qashqai 2.0 petrol Accenta with all-wheel drive – 664,470 hryvnias;
- Peugeot 2008 (best crossover of 2021 in Ukraine) 1.2 turbo Allure – 664,800 hryvnias;

The next Volkswagen Golf Life starts from 723,808 hryvnias and adds a virtual cockpit, keyless access, and alloy wheels. Here you can already choose the engine – a 1.4-liter 150 hp turbo-four is available, and it works with a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic. Yes, an automatic, not DSG.
The top R-Line variant is at least 966,828 hryvnias and includes a rearview camera, three-zone climate, a 10-inch touchscreen, and Harman Kardon acoustics.
